    Playing God for Profit
I have benefited in several ways from modern medicine. My concave chest shows that I had severe asthma when I was young. I received shots for ten years starting at the age of four. I don't know for sure, but I assume that they were steroids. I have not had an asthma attack since I finished my treatment. I developed type one diabetes at the age of thirty-three. I have survived the last thirty years because of insulin injections. I used animal insulin briefly but was transitioned quickly to

What is Bible prophecy and why does it matter?
What is Bible prophecy and why does it matter? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_prophecy This is a reasonable question that many people are asking and more will continue to ask as prophecies unfold before our very eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NutkCjDcMT4 We know that the future is our only hope. There is little in the present that offers comfort. http://www.seeronline.org/seeronline-blog/nine-sane-reasons-to-believe-the-world-will-end-soon Prophecy is the only doorway to

    Legacy Lost
It is a sad new day in South Africa. The national parliament has voted to seize the farm lands owned by whites without compensation and redistribute them to blacks. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/south-africa-white-farms-land-seizure-anc-race-relations-a8234461.html The despair of this decision does not lie in its injustice, but in its lack of grace. There is no doubt that something needed to be done. South Africa is a nation burdened, like most of Africa, by its colonial past.

Is the Bible the word of God?
Is the Bible the inerrant word of God? Is every word in the scriptures actually from God or are there mistakes? This question has been asked ever since Moses wrote, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) It actually goes all the way back to that very beginning. Do you know what the serpent asked Eve in the Garden of Eden? Eve's husband Adam had told her that God commanded him not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:16&17) The serpent

    Islam and State
Islam is adamant that it is a religion of peace. Many others support this claim including former presidents George W. Bush and Barak Obama. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/said-obama-vs-bush-islam  Here are some quotes from an Islamic flyer. "The name of this religion is Islam, the root of which, Silm or Salam, means peace. Salam is also part of the greeting of peace among Muslims. In addition, one of the beautiful names of God is As-Salam, meaning 'The Peace'." The pamphlet continues,

Should we carry a gun to worship?
The body of Christ in America has been shaken by the recent massacre of twenty-six members of the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/texas-church-shooting/several-casualties-reported-texas-church-shooting-n817751 It was the deadliest mass murder in Texas history and follows the murder two years ago of nine Christians during a Bible study at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

    The Righteous Branch
The prophet Jeremiah was given a message long ago that we need to hear today. "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth." (Jeremiah 23:5) This agreed with a prophecy already written over one hundred years before by the prophet Isaiah. "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: and the spirit of the

    Elohim
Elohim is the Hebrew word for God used in the very first verse of the Torah. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." It appears over 2500 times in the Tannakh. The interesting thing is that Elohim "is a grammatically plural noun for 'gods' or 'deity' in Biblical Hebrew. In Modern Hebrew, it is often referred to in the singular despite the -im ending that denotes plural masculine nouns in Hebrew." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elohim This word also appears in the great Hebrew
